This course is fully updated with regulations for the 2018 tax year. In it, we will review the basics of being a tax preparer. We'll talk about who must file a tax return, how to choose the correct form for a client to use, how to receive an extension, and the penalties of not filing a tax return.
We'll cover the different methods of accounting and the accounting periods that business and individuals can use. We'll also review how to handle mistakes that may occur on tax returns, and what constitutes negligence.
This class will conclude with a 12-question IRS-required exam.
