This 4-hour course will cover the topic of personal and dependent exemptions. We’ll cover the tests which can help you determine whether a person qualifies as a qualifying relative or a dependent child, and how they affect one’s taxes.

We’ll cover the forms that you’ll need to be familiar with when filing personal and dependent exemptions. And we’ll talk about the tricky exemption phase-out.

We’ll also take a look at some complicated scenarios, and how to apply the rules for who may claim a child or relative. Last, we’ll cover the Earned Income Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit, and and who may benefit from these.

The course will conclude with a 17-question, IRS-required exam.
