This 3-hour course will help you review best practices for working with clients who have rental income and expenses.
After defining what exactly constitutes rental income, we'll talk about depreciation and how to calculate for tax use. We'll talk about how to help your clients apply rental income and expenses in order to get the best tax treatment for them. This course will also cover retirement funds, such as pensions, annuities, and other retirement plans. We'll talk about tax treatment of distributions from retirement plans, and how survivors and beneficiaries are treated for tax purposes.
This course will conclude with an IRS-mandated 11-question exam.
