This package is designed to provide non-AFTR-exempt tax preparers participating in the 2020 Annual Filing Season Program with the required 18 hours of continuing education content needed to renew their license.
The package will begin with the 6 hour 2020 AFTR course, covering all three required domain topics:
- New Tax Law and Recent Updates,
- General Review, and
- Practices, Procedures, and Professional Responsibility
From there, we'll talk about gross income, along with some of the key definitions and areas of a client's income that will be taxed.
Following this is a portion that will examine how taxpayers report rental income and expenses, as well as income and expenses arising from rental properties.
The fourth section of the content in this package discusses other tax schedules, including Schedule C,F,J and SE. We'll cover what they are, how to use them, and when to use them.
The final course in the package covers ethics and how that applies to tax preparers, an important subject to consider in your daily practice.
There are quizzes after each section in the package, to help test your knowledge and make sure that you understand the course material. Once you finish the package, you'll have completed all of the requirements for renewing your license!
