This 30 hour continuing education course is designed for licensed Oregon tax preparers, and will fulfill all of your CE requirements, including the mandatory Ethics education. In this course, we'll begin by discussing ethics for the tax preparer, and then move into discussing federal topics including filing status and requirements, calculating gross income and handling nontraditional income, and cover the standard and itemized deductions.

We'll also spend some time covering how to claim various credits, taxation of rental income, expenses, and retirement funds, and conclude the course by explaining how to use the additional Schedules (such as F, C, and SE) properly.

GOOD MATERIALS,

the course is Great! and very easy to understand. Something that I would change though is the fact that In every "section" there are too many chapters and to go check on something you have to go thought each page. But After all it is great. I would go it again.

Some of the statements made in the course either were not clear, no longer applied because of TCJA tax changes, or were outright wrong. In addition, some of the statements made in the videos did not apply to what was written on the screen as bullet points. In addition, there were misspelled words. Someone needs to proof the course and the final.

Make it clear if you are asking questions pertaining to 2017 tax and forms or 2018 tax and forms. Some answers to questions were 2017 forms and tax, some were 2018 forms and tax.
