This course contains two hours of continuing education content on the subject of amended returns. The topics covered in this course include the following:

  • Fraud in filing taxes
  • A segment of this class discusses tax fraud the is associated with the filing of taxes
  • Amended returns
  • A segment of the class talks about amended returns. Specifically, this segment is concerned with why a return would need to be amended and how long it takes for an amended return to be processed.
  • Form 1040-X
  • The majority of this class examines IRS Form 1040-X. This segment takes a detailed look at each section of the form and what information goes in those sections.

Once a student has completed the course. They will complete a 14 question final exam that is designed to promote understanding and comprehension of the course materials.
